Silk Workshop in Como
A morning with a fourth-generation silk weaver in Como, then a length of silk woven on a hand loom by you.

Como has woven silk for three centuries. We take you to a small mill near the old town walls, run by the same family since 1931.
Hands on
You will see the warping frames, the dye kitchen and the old wooden looms, then sit at a hand loom and weave a short length of your own. It is finished and wrapped while you have lunch.
The car leaves at nine and is back by two. The mill is closed in August.
